I love this photo. (I also happen to love Anderson & Grimm. Too bad most of today's kids aren't exposed to it -- or, if they are, it's some sort of politically correct Disney-fied version of it.) :(

About the time this photo was taken I realized that every single one of Andersen's fairy tales is sad... and that's a part of their beauty :) Disney's not like that - they sweeten everything.
